Qué hay pués ?

Not real sure what the direct interpretation of that phrase is, but sorta like a 'what's up'.
Just have a few pics of recent events: Dylan's B-day; funeral of Choco, our Chihuahua puppy; etc.
can't quite get enough of the pillow that Kassie made for him.

Dylan inherited Alyssa's bike, but he told me the other day that he's "not gonna wide in the fwunt no mo, cuz the boys might make fun of his pink bike". So... I painted it a more manly color.

Happy New Year ! ! !

        Hello there,
    I won't get into how long it's been but this post 'title' is a bit scary eh?    So much has happened in our lives here the past few months, and we continue to enjoy watching the Lord work in our lives and in the lives of some of the people here as well.    First off, we are not having twins.    Last month we found a doctor in El Fuerte, about 40 min. from here and he has a little clinic with a private delivery room, PTL.  Christa could'nt quite get comfortable with the thought of laboring in a room full of other ladies without me.  I could'nt either, for that matter, so we are thankful to have found a good doctor that we feel comfortable with.   An ultrasound showed a healthy baby and Christa is also feeling better.   Thanks for the encouragement and some of the notes that ya'll sent her.
    This week started out sadly for us, well, mostly for the kids as it affected them more. Our 1 yr. old little Chihuahua puppy, Choco, escaped out of the back fence and got hit on the road in front of our house.   I heard it happen and saw him run around the van and lay down so I went out and he died in about a minute. A guy across the street saw it happen and said that the front and back tire ran right over his chest so he died fast.   I've never imagined that a child could be so distressed over the death of a dog but it became apparent real quick that this was a major deal for them.   We had a little burial for him and they put flowers and cards and coloring pages and all sorts of things on the grave and spent most of the afternoon just hanging out at the grave weeping and trying to comfort each other. Dylan just wanted to dig him up and pet him one more time but Kassie informed him that no way it would be gross and he would stink. Weep, weep. But he will never swing on the hammock with us again. Weep weep.   We need to put a shade over him cause he's getting too hot. Weep weep.   Some of the comments were actually comical.   We got Choco from Loren's, and are hoping that their dog has puppies again soon so we can again enjoy a little yapper in our backyard.   I'm on my laptop and my Picasa account is'nt working right so I don't have any pictures of the mourners to share. Maybe later.
    Well, my little wifey is chatting it up with me while I try to write here.   The kids are all happily playing and her chances of enjoying good adult conversation in English were few for this week so I'd better be available to give her the joy of yacking with me without interruption.    can't wait,
seriously....

Dual Citizenship / Mexican Baby !

Hello everyone,
I have to post a news flash here and now. We have been praying for quite a few months now about having another baby, and the Lord did'nt seem to be in as much of a hurry as we were. We of course wished to plan around various things, namely the hot Mexican climate, but we are still very blessed and excited that Christa is pregnant and due the middle of July ! God has promised to be with us, heat or no heat. July or January. We believe that His timing is perfect and are praising Him for the answered prayer. Christa is feeling a little sick these early days, which is unusual for her, she was basically fine with the other pregnacies, and she also believes that she is popping out faster than usual, which has her convinced it is a sure sign of twins ... We shall see. We are going to start looking into different hospital options after Christmas, not really being picky like which has the best gourmet meal after the birth or the biggest shower and a pull-out bed for me to sleep on,,, but more like which one has clean sheets and a private room, oxygen, a nurse - or do we bring our own. I love it here, but these are all things to consider here... south of the border.

Tucson Pics

Hey there, here are the pics that I promised. We went up to the border in Oct. to renew our visas and stayed in Tucson for a few days. It was a great time of relaxing, filling up on greasy burgers, we went to the zoo, a children's museum, and countless Goodwill shops.
The Reed Park Zoo was small and inexpensive, always cool, but a really good time.



The Tucson Children's Museum was very interactive, good homeschool fun for all of us.

What can I say, but I'm blessed to have such a beautiful family.

So..... yeah, still here.

    Hello, so much for keeping up to date eh? I guess two months is'nt too bad.   So anyway, we are doing well. The time has changed, bringing shorter days but also cool-er weather. PTL! Last week it was still getting into the upper 90's and hit 103* the one day, but this week it is 80's, beautiful, and the 10 -15 day forcast shows the same. Yeah I know weather talk is shallow and boring, but after my first summer of sizzle here in Mexico, the chill in the evening air is quite delightful.
   The big news down here is Obama as I'm sure it is on the "other side" where it hits closer to home.   When natives ask me who I voted for I say I did'nt vote but that I would have preferred McCain, they don't seem to understand why I don't just love the new "saviour" of America. Actually, I did'nt really keep up with politics this year (a statement that may prove I should have stayed away form this paragraph) so I'm not even sure what the man stands for, I'm not sure what reasons to tell them why I prefer McCain, just that he's more Conservative than Obama, and he at least has a track record.  But who's on the throne? It's definitely not Barry. Our nation is so far gone that no one but Jesus Christ can save us from complete collapse and decay of everything moral and good, and give us peace in uncertain economic times. Stand up while you still can, and having done all... STAND FIRM on the rock that will not move. Consejos de mi hermano Pablo in Efesios.
   I will soon try to post some pictures of my cute kids that are growing up so fast and becoming quite the little Mexicans. In other news.... Praise the Lord we are having a baptism this Sunday. Two ladies from the San Pedro church prayed to accept the Lord about a month ago and have asked to be baptized, so we are going to the river on Sunday and after that a Convivio, which is like a big potluck-fellowship meal Mexican style.  The devil is out to steal, kill and destroy, but salvation is still available to everyone and it's so exciting to see people come to the Lord.
